By accessing or using IEP Advocate.ai ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
2. Description of Service
IEP Advocate.ai provides AI-powered tools to help parents navigate special education advocacy, including:
- Document organization and analysis
- Legal research on special education law (IDEA, Section 504, state regulations)
- AI-assisted advocacy guidance
- Meeting preparation and recording transcription
Our service is designed to support and educate parents in their advocacy efforts.
3. Not Legal Advice
Important: IEP Advocate.ai is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. No attorney-client relationship is created by using this Service. The information and tools provided are for educational and organizational purposes only.
For legal matters, disputes, or due process hearings, please consult with a qualified special education attorney in your state.
4. AI-Generated Content
AI Disclaimer: This Service uses artificial intelligence to generate responses, analyze documents, and provide guidance. AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies.
You are responsible for independently verifying all information before relying on it in IEP meetings, correspondence with schools, or legal proceedings.
5. Account Terms
To use this Service, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
6. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You may not:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Upload content that infringes on intellectual property rights
- Share your account credentials with others
- Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
- Use the Service to harass, defame, or harm others
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service's operation
7. Subscription and Billing
Free Trial: New subscribers receive a 14-day free trial. You will not be charged until the trial period ends.
Billing: After your trial, you will be billed according to your selected plan (monthly or annual). All fees are charged in advance and are non-refundable except as required by law.
Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting support. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you will retain access until then.
Data Deletion: If your subscription ends (trial expires or paid subscription is canceled), your documents, student profiles, and all associated data will be permanently deleted 3 days after your subscription ends. We will send email reminders before deletion occurs. You are welcome to return anytime, but you would need to start fresh.
8. Your Data
You retain ownership of all documents and data you upload to the Service. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to process and store your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IEP ADVOCATE.AI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
ABSOLUTE RIGHT TO TERMINATE
IEP Advocate.ai reserves the sole and absolute right to suspend, restrict, or permanently terminate any user account at any time, for any reason or no reason, with or without notice, and without explanation.
This includes, but is not limited to, accounts suspected of being operated by:
- Competitors or their affiliates
- Individuals conducting competitive intelligence or market research
- Persons attempting to reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy our systems or content
- Bad actors, hackers, or those engaged in malicious activity
- Individuals who register under false pretenses, including but not limited to those attempting to access other users' data (student records, payment information, personal information) or misrepresenting their identity or purpose for using the Service
- Anyone we believe, in our sole discretion, poses a risk to our platform, users, or business
We are under no obligation to provide any explanation, justification, or appeal process for any termination decision. Refunds for terminated accounts are issued solely at our discretion.
By using this Service, you acknowledge and agree that this termination right is reasonable and necessary to protect our business, intellectual property, and user community.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately and all data associated with your account may be deleted without further notice. We recommend exporting your data regularly from Settings, as data may not be recoverable after account termination.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Minnesota.
